Maria works from our Melbourne office as a Senior Associate Research Specialist predominantly supporting Partner Angela Clelland, on search assignments for legal,  governance and public sector roles.

Maria has had an extensive career in executive search in various research roles across industries and in roles which included  leading teams as Research Manager. She has been with Omera Partners since 2011.Her dedication to the research profession led her to be awarded a Research Monbusho scholarship by the Ministry of Trade in Japan whilst working for the Philippine Government before moving to Australia.

As a researcher, Maria is focused on identifying and matching candidates with roles for both skills set and cultural fit. She takes an expansive approach to uncover talented, diverse candidates for every assignment.

Maria enjoys the challenge of working on assignments for high profile CEO roles. She hopes to work on more roles that have a strong sustainability focus, with a meaningful social difference.

Away from the office, Maria is passionate about Ikebana, the intricate Japanese art of flower arrangement, as well as tending to her beautiful home garden of herbs and flowering plants. She also dedicates time to online Spanish lessons with a tutor from Alicante, Spain, to expand her language skills.
