Alex Neskes is a Partner in the Omera Partners legal practice.
Typically working with global and domestic law firms to secure new lateral partners, she also assists organisations servicing the legal profession with executive roles.
Based in the Melbourne office, Alex brings longstanding knowledge of the profession and legal industry sector, through being an integral part of its machinery for over 16 years. She studied Law and Arts at the University of Melbourne and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria.
A lateral thinker, Alex likes to work with clients to identify alternative strategies or solutions, and works hard at sourcing the most creative ways to engage passive candidates or clients. Her excellent rapport building skills help her to connect and engage with a broad range of professionals.
Alex observes that the legal profession is undergoing significant change and disruption, citing the globalisation of legal practice, the increased capability, size and overall sophistication of in-house legal teams, and the clear challenge posed by technology to traditional working methods as some of the issues currently facing the industry.
In the context of systemic change, her role at Omera Partners, combining their search capability and industry connectivity, with her experience working in and for the legal profession, allows her to create a service in tune with the changing needs of the profession.
Alex has always loved travel, food and art in all its forms and has two young children.
